Description	Letter, William O. Feemster, at 'Bro. Bobs,' to his brother, Alex W. Feemster, in Selma, Alabama, telling him about traveling along the river on mules and horses. Sam got home and seems to be improving, though he still looks ill. Uncle Whitty passed through Memphis and had to 'take the oath,' along with his family. He closes with religious reflections. 1864.

Transcript	At Bro. Bob�s. Sept 28th Mr. A. W. Feemster. Dear brother, I recd your favor of the 23d inst. day before yesterday, and in compliance with your request am now attempting to write you again before I leave this side of the river. Myself & bro Harry came up here this evening on our way across the river. We start on from here in the morning. Bro. H. bought a little mule for my accommodation. Gave $200 for him. There is a young man here belonging to my company who has been waiting to cross the river with me. He has no horse, and we will ride there & back with him. In this way we will not
