Dear Sir
Since I saw you I have concluded to join a camp down in Florida. I find that the money I got from you will not be enough to get the Clothes that I am compelled to have, before I go into the army. I can't get cloth to make shirts for less than eight dollars per yard. I have no Over Coat. I ought to have one by all meanes [sic]
