Description	Letter from Eliza Patterson to her aunt, Ann Boyd Green, from Tunica County, Mississippi. She writes of being home from Nashville and bringing a nephew Bell with her, and about a nephew who recently died of whooping cough and measles. She mentions cousins Jack (Boyd) and Robert (Boyd), who are serving in the war. She writes that times are hard, and all they hear about is war. 1861.

Transcript	September 1st /61. Mrs Ann Green. Dear Aunt Ma received a letter from you written to Aunt Matilda last week, but supposing you had written to both and the letters being directed wrong, I proceed to answer it. We are at present all well also Sisters family, but she has had another great trouble to bear with; Her dear sweet little Eddie is dead, it will be six weeks tomorrow since he died, disease Whooping cough & Measles he suffered a great deal, and never was any sick person more patient - he was just like an old man. Bell is the youngest living. I have been home one week from Nashville after being there
