Dear Mims:
We have the unofficial advice that "our Pat" has been nominated to succeed himself as United States Senator, and I wish to convey to you my feelings of elation. Wish I could be with you this morning and mingle my joy with yours. Certainly this is a great victory chiefly so it is for our Democratic party, and the resultant good that our Country is to be benefited. Four years longer of the present administration and the continued help of Senator Harrison will evoke wonder, especially for the agricultural interest of our Country. And I believe an era of prosperity is imminant.
Let me impress upon you the necessity of your continuing your stay at the Institution, and continue the rest that you have been in need of for a long while. I have been anxious to pay you a visit, but my
