Dear Mims:
I have been thinking for quite a while that I would write you in regard to a matter that has given me much thought for the past few months, and that is what shall I do with my boys, (Miles and Gordon), as regards their further schooling. They finished here last term, and could not be advanced further-could only review. My idea is that they should be placed at some good high school or Academy. I have received several catalogues of such school, but have made no selection.
No one realizes more than I that times are hard, money very scarse [sic] and hard to make. But I have the idea so fully fixed in me to give my my [sic] children an opportunity to get an
