State of Mississippi Jefferson County This Indenture made and Entered into this the 1 day of July AD 1869 Between F. Krauss and Orleans Warner All of the County & State aforesaid: Witnesseth: That for the sum of two Dollars Cash in hand paid the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged and for the further sum of Ninety Eight Dollars to be furnished in supplies and Merchandise during the year AD 1869 making in the aggregate the sum of One Hundred Dollars. It is agreed that said Orleans Warner give a special Lein to said Krauss on all the Crops of Cotton, Corn and other produce that he may raise during the year AD 1869 on the plantation known as Darden Place in said County now occupied and being cultivated by said Orleans Warner also on all the Mules & Horses, Cattle, Hogs Sheep and farming Implements on said place belonging to said Orleans Warner[.] It is further agreed that none of said Crops shall be removed from said Place without the consent of said Krauss And that said Crops shall be Delivered to said Krauss whenever he shall demand the same or any Part thereof as soon as the same may or can be gathered without recourse to Law or arbitration. It is also agreed that said Orleans Warner pay the usual Charge of two (2 1/2 %) a half per cent for advancing and ten (10%) per cent interest on said sum of One Hundred Dollars Witness our hands and Seals this the 1st day of July AD 1869 Witness Joseph T.
