Transcript	Apr. 15th 1894 Mr C.A. Williams Dry Grove Dear Cammie, I have been putting off from time to time to answer your letter but somehow I have neglected answering you as soon as I should have done. But "procrastination is the thief of time" and I am going to "steal a march" on it this evening. The reasons for not answering you sooner, if any are required, I assure you are valid-in order to explain I shall only [page 2] present a few. The paramount reason is that I have been considering the proposition you so wisely put before me. Another reason is that there has been anniversaries of the two Literary Societies of the College and of course some of my time has been taken up in attending and getting things ready for them. Well, in regard to the plan of moving home folks to Terry &c, I shall not state my exact opinion on it for I hardly know which is best to move them [page 3] to town or try to fix up the house at home. I have thought of it no little since I received your letter. Have not the least conception of the best move to take. I know some good way probably, of getting them in a good house, that is by moving them to town-and I could get a house I suppose for the amount of board I pay Mr. Davis 10$ or 12$ per month. And probably get along all right. Well Cammie, to tell the truth I leave it [page 4] all with you. Just anything you think best, of course, I agree to it. Now, I know I do not know half so much abut as you do, but if you will let me say one thing that I really think is true and I don't think I would ever consent to having sisters brought up in a town like Terry. I would like if we could get a house near Terry, or even the old Bracey place in Terry I think it would do. Will Mama consent to leave Dry Grove? Now I [page 5] leave it entirely w ith you about what to do. If you think best to move to Terry, very well. I am aware of the fact that I have not done as much for home folks as I should have done and I intend to do all I can as soon as I can get straight with Mr Davis. You know I am not able to do anything now as I am in debt to Mr D for money loaned me to go to school on. And I think the best thing I could have done is to have gone to school as I have. [page 6] If you are still in notion of moving to Terry let me know and I will try to see about renting some house. I had much rather wait til I get straight with Mr D before moving them down but as you say the house you are in now will not do for another winter. I will be home in June and talk to you about it. But I am willing to do as you say because I have not done as much for the folks as I should have done and I must do more. Enough of this for once. [page 7] So will change the line of thought a little. Do you read much now? I would send you something to read but I am short myself. Will send you a couple of magazines in a few days as soon as I get through with them. I had to get them to learn something on a debate. Is Joe going to marry sure enough? What do you think of the W. C. P. Breck case-did you read Thompson's speech on it? It was absurd. I guess I will stay out [page 8] at home two weeks in June and then go to Terry as I got a letter from Mr. D. saying that he had some work for me soon as school was out. One of the Professors here has been advising me not to go to work untill [sic] September. Said that the best thing I could do and which would be worth a whole session of schooling to me-would be for me to spend the the [sic] two months July & August at home and employ my time reading-said he would lay me out a [page 9] course of reading that would do me more good than all my studying at school. I thought I would do so at first with you alls' consent, but since I heard from Mr Davis I have discarded that idea. Write to me when you feel inclined. Your brother Mims Williams Love to all.
