Dear Cam:
After re-reading your letter, which reached me yesterday in due time, I have concluded that it is deserving a prompt reply, hence I hasten to do so in a few lines tonight while in my room before retiring after a pretty hard days [sic] work, though the same old story which has grown quite thread bare, "no news." but [sic] if you will kindly bear with me for a little while I will do the best I can then leave you for the judge. To "bigin with the beginning" I shall take your letter up by sections and review it from a social stand-point. First: I am very sorry to hear of Joe's illness and hope he will not
