Transcript	Bear Creek Feb 15th 1887 Dear Hattie Your letter of recent date and report recived [sic][.] I think your report splendid[.] I send it to you in this letter[.] think you will be pleased with it. We planted the garden yesterday and commenced planting corn[.] the weather good for farming for some time not much rain[.] I am better up with my farming at this time than I have been for sevral [sic] years[.] I have nothing new to write you[.] evry [sic] body is at work[.] Willie Wilkins will [page 2] make a crop at your uncles[.] Georges just set in last week[,] will not move Kate for some time yet[.] your uncle Jim is still up in the swamp I think will stay this year. We have no school I do no [sic] know when we will I expect we will have to wait untill [sic] you get home and get you to teach. you must excuse this short letter all are well your loving Papa
