Transcript	Houston Texas April 18 [19]13 Mrs V.J. Williams Terry Miss. Dear Mrs Williams I received your letter some time ago but it got misplaced in my desk and I regret to say that it has been overlooked till this afternoon. Judge Williams was under my care at the time of his death. He had and [sic] old chronic liver troubled [sic] called cirrhosis of the liver. As is usually the case in cases of this sort we have associated and [sic] old chronic kidney and heart trouble. It is often impossible in a given case to say definitely which was the primary and which was the secondary lesion for these [page 2] cases usually do not consult the physician till both are present. In the Judges [sic] case we believe that the liver trouble really had more to do with the fatal result probably than the associated heart and kidney changes-as a matter of fact however the three conditions are so intimately associated with each other that some teach that they are all simply a part of the same process. I regret very much this delay in answering your letter Very respectfully I E Pritchett
