Dear Daughter
I wrote to Clarence about three weeks ago, and was surprised it had not been received when his last to us was written. Capt Nichols had spoken to me to mention to him about the calves and pig which he had promised to Clarence. He wishes to know if they will be taken however he has only spoken the one time about it. Mama is in bed with one of her weakly spells. Mamie is busy making a new calico dress. Henry is employed filling up and resanding the front walk. Lattie is busy with the chickens, calves & picking up persimmons, besides scraping
