Dear Senator Stennis:
This is just a note to let you know that your effort is very much appreciated.
Being a disabled veteran of World War II I realized what Truman's Anti-
Segregation law would be unbearable for us Vets who have to use V.A. Hospitals. These
Yankee Doctors would make it a point to mix the negroe and whites. That just would
mean trouble for all. So please, just for use veterans, exert just a little extra energy.
