On or before the 15th day of October 1900, I promise to pay to C.A. Williams, or order, two thousand pounds (2000 lbs) of lent cotton ready baled for market, for rent on land described as follows: All the land worked or cultivated by me in cotton during the year 1899, and 8 acres in the north end of the land cultivated by C.A. Williams in corn during 1899, commencing at a point near the crossing in the branch and running with a ditch, or duan, west to the Dabney line. Also for rent on one bay horse mule name "Bill"
