I, Martin Banks, promise and agree to pay C.A. Williams one fourth of all the crops to be planted and raised by me during the year 1895 (except the potato crop) and each party to pay his proportionate share of the expenses of gining and wrapping the cotton, this for the rent of 30 acres of land in the field opposite the B.L. Coker house, and 10 acres in the field on the north side of the Learned and Dry Grove rode [sic], and that portion lying next to the B.L. Coker place.
Witness my hand, this the 13th day of December, 1894.
