Description	"Circa 1908 The Regina Hexaphone was manufactured in Rahway, NJ by the Regina Company in 1908. The Hexaphone became the most successful of the cylinder coin-operated phonographs. While the Edison and Columbia predecessors only permitted a single selection, the Regina Hexaphone contained a carousel of six separate mandrels and permitted the patron to increase the number of musical choices. There were 3200 made from 1900 to 1922. This machine plays 4-minute cylinders, and the original coin slot on this machine is Circa 1919, is a 5 cent for one cylinder. To play, insert nickel, make selection from one of six tunes, turn crank until it stops. A Regina Hexaphone is on display in the Smithsonian.
